Pacamara is a hybrid between the Arabica cultivars Pacas & Maragogipe.
Pacas is a natural mutation of Bourbon, similar to Caturra in Brazil and Villa Sarchi in Costa Rica.The variety was discovered in 1949 on a farm owned by the Pacas family in the Santa Ana region of El Salvador. Maragogipe is a natural mutation of Typica, discovered near the Brazilian city of Maragogipe in 1870. The combine attributes of these unique cultivars results in a unique and highly sought after cup profile.
